After graduation I entered nursing school at St. Vincent's Hospital and graduated in 1964. Met Willis that summer, he was stationed at the Sioux City airbase in the army. We married in 1965 and later that summer we moved to North Little Rock, Ar. for Willis to enter University of Arkansas Graduate Institute Masters degree for chemistry. I worked at a hospital there until our son Brian was born December 31, 1966. After Willis graduated he accepted a job with a chemical company in the New Orleans area and to enter Tulane University for his PhD. What a life style change for an Iowa girl. We liked it so much we ended up stayng for twenty-eight years. In 1971 we had our daughter, Michele. I worked in a small hospital in Algers and took off a few years to be a full time Mom. We loved Mardi Gras and Jazz Festivel, crayfish, shrimp, gumbo and redbeans and rice. When I returned to work I worked in the hospital for several years. Two years before I retired I was a field supervisor for home health agency. In 1995 we moved back to Willis' hometown of Sturgis, Ky. He continues to do consulting work. I am always looking for reasons to visit our children, Brian in Phoenix, and Michele with our three grandchildren in San Francisco. Now I'm looking forward to seeing everyone in July. Thanks to everyone who is doing the planning.
