Duane Kaufman

I was born in Sioux City, IA, living on farms in the area until graduating from Hinton High School. 44 days after graduation I married my girlfriend, Sharon and we will celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary July 1. Honeymooning at Lake Okoboji, we went for breakfast the next morning and ran into a group of classmates from Hinton High School. Later at the amusement park here they came again to hassle us! Following our honeymoon, we moved to Galesburg, IL, working in sales for Nabisco until moving to Colorado Springs, CO in 1967 where I attended Nazarene Bible College to study for the ministry and then also graduating from Olivet Nazarene University earning a ThB in theology.

I've pastored churches in Northfield, New Jersey, Aledo, IL, Marseilles, IL and Canon City, CO., then retiring to Seneca, IL. Retirement consists of working two days a week marketing for Rivershores Care Center, plus conducting funerals and performing wedding ceremonies, mostly at Starved Rock State Park.

My wife and I have been blessed with three children, Cindy, Gina and Roger, eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Sharon and I enjoy traveling, expecially on Amtrak, including trips to San Antonio, California and Oregon. We've gone on several cruises and are looking forward to taking an Alaskan cruise in August to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary.

Looking forward to seeing everyone at our 50th class reunion this summer!
